Across all eight locations, Saily averaged 270 Mbps down / 48 Mbps up. The download average slots Bratislava between Riga (319) and Tallinn (118). But the upload average — 48 Mbps — is the highest of any country so far. Finland managed 29, Latvia 15, Estonia 15. Slovakia’s upload performance is in a league of its own.

The 823 Mbps Record

Brixton House, an Italian restaurant on Františkánske námestie, delivered 823 Mbps on the outside patio. That beat Helsinki’s Esplanade Park (809 Mbps) for the all-time Saily speed crown. Brixton House sits in a narrow Old Town square surrounded by buildings on all sides — not an obvious spot for peak speeds. Whatever tower was serving that square, it was dialed in.

Coverage & Reliability

Bratislava’s compact size works in its favor. The city center is small enough that you’re never far from a tower. Outdoor speeds were consistently excellent (158–823 Mbps). Indoor speeds followed the expected pattern: the National Museum and St Martin’s Cathedral both dropped below 90 Mbps. But even those “slow” indoor results were faster than some countries’ outdoor averages. Zero dropped connections. Signal held everywhere.

Hotspot & Battery

Tethering worked out of the box. Battery drain was unremarkable. The 25GB plan’s 5GB high-speed cap is the only constraint — reserve hotspot for quick tasks.

Value

At $50 for 25GB ($2.00/GB), Saily in Slovakia is a straightforward win. You’re getting all-time record speeds in a capital city for the same price as every other country. The only downside is the indoor drop-off in old buildings — but that’s physics, not Saily. For outdoor use, Bratislava is the fastest Saily city we’ve tested.
