The Seven Senses Review
👂 Cadence — Sound (Score: 5/10)
The unfortunate thing about this apartment is the concrete construction of the building. Sound echoes everywhere in this apartment and that includes bleed over sound from the neighboring apartments. Each night at 9 pm, I could here the family next door which often involved a great deal of shouting/yelling or excessively loud conversations. My ear plugs, noise cancelling air pods and the spare bedroom saved me a few nights of late night argument noise.
✋ Unwind — Touch (Score: 7/10)
The bed, sheets, pillows were average. I did sleep relatively comfortable for the most part but the unit only had one A/C unit in the living room and I had to keep the bedroom door open for cool air to circulate in. The apartment could have used a fan to help move cool air into the bedrooms.
👅 Palate — Taste (Score: N/A/10)
This is an apartment and offered no food service however there is a coffee shop and bakery one block from the apartment.
👃 Aroma — Smell (Score: 7/10)
The only area that had odor problems was the bathroom. The combination of laundry, toilet, shower, sink means that water has to drain and because this building is relatively old, the smell of humidity and musty odor could primarily be smelled in the bathroom area. It wasn’t a problem as the odor didn’t bleed into the other rooms if you kept the doors closed.
👁 Vista — Sight (Score: 9/10)
There was no great views, there is a single window visible from the dining area with a view of the interior patio. The apartment did excel for its location. Skanderberg Square is a 10 minute walk. This is the area most day trip providers on Viator, Trip Advisor and GetYourGuide leave from so it was very convenient.
🙏 Sanctuary — Spirit (Score: 8/10)
This apartment didn’t offer any amenities beyond a great location. Aside from the loud neighbors, there was no noise from traffic or outside at all.
🧭 Wander — Instinct (Score: 9/10)
There are a ton of great restaurants, cafes, bakeries, spas, museums, shopping and currency exchange within a few minutes walking distances of this apartment. It would have been a perfect repeatable apartment were it not for the noisy neighbors.

The Verdict
If you have a way to mitigate noisy neighbors through noise cancelling air pods, ear plugs or other mechanisms then this apartment is perfectly situated for visiting Tirana and launch platform for day trips. If you are sensitive to noise during sleep, you may want to look elsewhere but this has been an issue in almost all stays in Albania. The country is very loud: motorcycles, traffic, discos, bars, and the people.
